| Mosaic Moray Eel |
Inbetween doing some landscaping in our backyard, we visited the Poor Knights Islands. Visibility was 30-40m. One thing that was obvious was how many more snapper there were on every dive. Other fishes were plentiful too including blue maomao, porae, stingrays and two-spot demoiselles. Moray eels seen included grey, yellow and our favourite mosaic.
We had a friend stay from San Diego and were able to take him on some different dives: Matheson Bay, Goat Island Beach, The Outpost and a snorkel in the Whangateau Estuary.
Also helped with monitoring kiwi calls at the Tawharanui Regional Park.
