The fishes at Goat Island Marine Reserve are so friendly you can get just a fish eye photo. Many long hot sunny days, very little rain. Water now 20 deg and still warming up. We visited Hauturu or Little Barrier Island - a very special place, hard to get to, but worth a visit.
We gained many new gannet images at the gannet colony, Muriwai. Beautiful fluffy white chicks and older ones, grey and white patterned ones.
A short break and we stayed at the Kauri Coast camping ground. Lovely swims in the waterhole near the campsite and also at the Kai iwi Lakes.
