Helped during the Seaweek event at Goat Island then had a relaxing break away sailing from Opua in the Bay of Islands to Leigh. First night sheltered in Whangamumu Bay where we dived near Pillar Rock in the morning. Next night anchored in Smuggler's Cove, Whangarei where the wind whistled around all night. Plenty of wind for a quick sail to Leigh Harbour, the prettiest of all. The catamaran Pontus is available to hire from Moorings. Received a copy of Steve de C. Cook's New Zealand Invertebrates book, which includes some of our photographs. The book is available from Canterbury University Press. Dive New Zealand magazine included our Cook Islands article. Picked up a new Sea and Sea DX-2G camera and housing. We'll be adding a strobe soon too and can't wait to get back in the water and try out this new rig! We also have a wide angle lens to go with it.
