Discover Goat Island took over 170 students from Waikowhai Intermediate School, snorkelling at Goat Island Marine Reserve, over 3 days. We drove to Wellington, stopped at Taihape (the gumboot capital) and Greytown where we found Jenny’s great-great-grandparents gravesites. Stayed at Hutt for the Central Regional Photographic Convention at the old Army Hospital at the Silverstream Resort, now much of it renovated. www.photography.org.nzThe Saturday field trip was to the Staglands Wildlife Reserve where a highlight was seeing NZ falcons.
