With a 7-day Transcenic Rail Pass we travelled on the Overlander, Transcoastal and TranzAlpine trains enjoying spectacular views of New Zealand. www.tranzscenic.co.nz. At Cromwell friends showed us the Bannockburn Sidings and remaining buildings from the gold mining era. Over 4 days we cycled the Central Otago Rail Trail from Clyde to Middlemarch – 150kms. An easy ride through open country with a backdrop of mountains with recent snowfall. The friendly southern hospitality will have us returning. Returned to Dunedin on the Taeiri Gorge train.
Jenny and Tony Enderby's work involves a variety of things which keeps life interesting. We are authors and photographers and have had nine books published. We welcome guests to our Bed and Breakfast room in the coastal village of Leigh, just an hour's drive north of Auckland.
