Goat Island, Leigh

Spring is here and the weather has warmed up.  We had a short break away at Paihia staying at the Beachside Holiday Park and cycled from Opua to the bridge. Also took the car ferry to Russell which was pretty quiet and the ferry is so cheap! Cycled Kaikohe to Ohaikau and really enjoyed the cheese and bacon scones at the little cafe there. Then we cycled back to Kaikohe. These cycle tracks are part of the 'yet to be completed' Twin Coast Cycleway.
